US-based Ocean Beauty Seafoods partnered with a Scottish smoked fish producer and a whiskey company to create a new smoked salmon product under its Echo Falls brand.
“We did a product line extension with wild salmon and now we’re doing it with Scottish salmon,” said Ocean Beauty Vice President of Retail Sales Ron Christianson. “We started picking up distribution during this past US holiday season and there’s been some Canadian interest as well.”
Associated Seafoods is the producer, he told IntraFish.
