The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) said Monday Canada-based pet food company Petcurean is now using MSC-certified seafood in two of its dog food formulas under its Gather brand.
The products -- Gather Wild Ocean and Gather Free Acres -- use cod and krill from MSC-certified fisheries and are available at pet stores in the United States and Canada.
Petcurean President Rick van Schagen said the company created the Gather products to meet consumer demands for "sustainability, transparency and organic ingredients in their pet food."
