Sales of coldwater shrimp sales continued to slump at UK retailers in the 52-week period through Dec. 3, according to new figures by market research firm Nielsen.

Warmwater shrimp on the other hand were holding their ground, growing both in the chilled and frozen aisles. 

Overall UK retail shrimp sales tracked by Nielsen for the 52-week period through Dec. 3 were up 5.6 percent by volume to 31,991 metric tons over the year before.
