Surimi seafood contributed 1.9% to US supermarket seafood department dollar sales during the 52 weeks ending April 25, 2015.

During this time, surimi seafood posted average sales of $136 per store per week, an increase of 4%. The largest contributor to surimi seafood sales was imitation crab, followed by imitation lobster and imitation scallops.  Imitation crab posted sales of $128 per store per week, an increase of 3.6%.

Surimi seafood sales peaked the week of the Fourth of July (week ending July 5, 2014) at $156 per store.
