Just more than a year after launching Pearl, a smartphone app that allowed consumers to find restaurants around them that were serving oysters, and learn about type of oysters and prices, founder Sam Asher is getting ready to expand in a big way.

The app is re-launching this week to include all seafood at restaurants, Asher told IntraFish.

"Any seafood on the menu, that's our goal," he said. "No one really is doing that for any food group."

As opposed to sites like Yelp, which are customer-driven, Pearl gets its information from the industry itself.
