Insula's new Danish subsidiary in the red for third year running

Danish seafood canner Bornholms delivered positive gross and operating profits in 2018, however, net profit has been in the red for the past three years -- a fact that new owners, Norwegian seafood giant Insula -- hopes to change.

Managing Director Christian Sieverts declined to provide further details to IntraFish about the losses and any mitigation efforts for future growth.

The company's operating profits saw a sharp climb to DKK 2.9 million (€388,443/$440,980) in the 2018 financial year.
