Bremerhaven-based frozen processor Frosta said Thursday it acquired the Italian frozen food brands from Nestlé Italiana.
The deal includes the commercial business including the trademarks rights for the frozen brands 'La Valle degli Orti,' 'Mare Fresco' and 'Surgela' for the Italian market.
The acquisition also includes a multi-year license agreement for various Buitoni branded frozen ready meals in Italy.
The transfer will take place on June 1. In a transitional phase Nestlé Italiana S.p.A. will continue Services in the area of sales and administration.
