Belgium-based Atka has introduced a range of frozen shrimp products under the brand name Cuisi9 (Cuisineuve): Shrimp with Garlic Cream, Shrimp with Garlic Butter, Shrimp Curry and Shrimp Diabolo (a spicy tomato sauce).
The 250g retail product is packed in a stand-up, laminated plastic bag with a modified atmosphere, costs € 4.19 ($3.77) and is cooked in a microwave oven, or in a pan for 7-8 minutes.
A 1kg version of all four varieties is available for foodservice use.
The product is aimed at the Belgian, French, German and Italian markets.
