FTC Sweden demonstrated its modular cordless pin boner at the recent Fish International show in Bremen.

Its mechanical picking action removes neck and fillet bones from fresh and defrosted fillets, both natural and smoked.

Battery-driven and requiring 15 minutes to recharge, the pin boner is designed for use in restaurant kitchens, fish shops, and supermarket fresh fish counters.

The company also introduced its four-lane automatic pin boner for larger scale production. This machine is designed to handle salmon which have been out of the water for as little as 48 hours.
