Chinese processor Ocean One is pumping a new product into the European market: salmon burgers.
To help with its mission, the group earlier this year established a new location near the Russian border it hopes will make raw material sourcing cheaper and easier.
"A few years ago, we were struggling like everyone else so we looked to relocate production," President Frank Zhou told IntraFish.
The new factory, the group's third, started operations earlier this year.
"It's easier for us to get cheaper, raw material from Russia, and we can get them by truck and not by container," Zhou said.
