US public health bodies want its citizens to eat more fish and seafood. The latest set of 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA) stipulates that US citizens should eat at least two portions a week instead of the one serving consumed presently. Lowering heart disease rates and getting pregnant and breastfeeding women to increase their intake for the sake of their offspring are among the core motivations for this latest set of recommendations.
