When the four original founders of Toronto-based The Captain's Boil were on a trip to Louisiana, they knew they had to try the traditional Cajun seafood boil, in which diners eat with their hands from big plates heaped with seafood and spice.
But they had a question: Could the delicious staple from the US South work in the Great White North?
Turns out, the answer is yes, according to The Captain's Boil Marketing Manager Wesley Shih. The quartet opened up the restaurant, the first Cajun seafood boil restaurant in Canada, and then went on to open three more.
