Republic of Panama-based Chilean Sea Bass Inc. (CSB) has sued Rhode Island-based Kendell Seafood Imports, alleging a breach of contract for nearly $2.6 million (€2.2 million) worth of product.

According to the claim, Kendell breached its contractual obligation to pay CSB an agreed-upon amount for more than 350 metric tons of Chilean sea bass between March and September 2020.

CSB is now asking the court to require Kendell to pay the money it claims it is owed, according to a lawsuit CSB filed in August with the US District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
