This is a first for IntraFish industry reports -- a report focusing entirely on Norwegian exporters of salmon and trout.
Norway is the world’s largest producer of farmed salmonids -- that is to say the two most important farmed fish species in Norway; Atlantic salmon (salmo salar) and fjord trout/rainbow trout (oncorhynchus mykiss).
The report first and foremost provides an overview of the leading Norwegian exporters of salmon and trout. Here you’ll find independent exporters, exporters where several producers are shareholders, and aquaculture companies that handle almost all of their own exports.
