The West Coast of Scotland has seen a number of boat movements recently. The former Stornoway trawler, Hannah May SY 562, has been sold by Michael McMillan and is now fishing from Barra, having been bought by Angus John McNeil as a replacement for the 53ft Floresco SY 9 which sank last year.
Richardsons of Stromness built the 40ft wooden hulled Hannah May in 1986 as the Strowa K 77 for local Skipper George Sinclair. The Strowa then moved to Westray, before being bought by Dennis May of Stornoway Shellfish in 1995 and renamed Hannah May .
