Last week I described how mono netting created a revolution in tangle netting when it replaced courlene and fished far more effectively.
This week I want to take a look at some of the technical aspects of this method of fishing, and how tangle nets are rigged – using information from one of the masters of the art, John Leach who now works for Cosalt in Newlyn.
He tells me the most popular rig is 'five-on-two', which hasn't altered much over the years.
