The Miller (Methil) yard in St Monans handed over the under 15m Ocean Crest FR 317 last week to the TWE Fishing Company of Fraserburgh.
She is built to a new design of dual purpose twin rig and midwater pair trawler.
Drafted by Macduff Ship Design, the fully shelterdecked Ocean Crest is the first of two identical boats ordered by the TWE Fishing Company and Brian Tait of Fraserburgh, who previously skippered bigger midwater trawlers.
Skipper Tait sold the pair trawler and former purse netter Ocean Star FR 894 (ex Challenge FR 77) two years ago and then fished the 38m Aquarius FR 907 (ex Vigilant) which he sold to Angola last year.
