The value of fish landed at Peterhead during 2016 is expected to smash through the £100 million (€115 million/$131 million) barrier this month, reports The Press & Journal.

New figures from Europe’s largest whitefish port show a total of 90,329 metric tons of fish worth more than £90.4 million (€104 million/$118 million) were landed during the first seven months of the year.

At the same stage of 2015, fish landings totalled 83,079 metric tons worth about £74.9 million (€86.5 million/$97.9 million).
