PORTUGUESE monofilament longline manufacturer Filkemp has been selling its latest type F562 mainline for American-style tuna and swordfish longlining.
F562 is a softer type of monofilament main line made in 3.50 and 4.00 mm diameter, being supplied in three, five and 30 nautical mile spools."
Filkemp's Jose Ingles tells FNI that the F562 line is softer because it is a 100 per cent copolymer made with top quality raw material, which makes it ideal for holding knots and manual work. The latest line is a development of its F560 line.
