TWO 52m freezer longliners for an Irish owner were due to undertake sea trials this week.
Avro Viking and Avro Chieftain have been built for Brendan McGrath of Wexford by the Umoe Sterkoder shipyard at Kristiansund.
Mustad has supplied 60,000 hook autoline systems for the vessels. The full autoline system includes a Mustad MK3 baiting machine, Mustad SP2000 hook seperator, Mustad H 300 line-hauler and Mustad fleximags for 60,000 EZ13/0 hooks.
Powered by 1650hp main engines, Avro Chieftain and Avro Viking were designed for operation in the North Atlantic or Barents Sea by Rolls-Royce Marine AS.
