Introduced at the FISHING show in Glasgow earlier this month was the CruzPro PcFF80 black box echosounder for PCs.
The CruzPro enables a conventional PC or laptop computer to function as an echosounder or fishfinder.
It was on the stand of Mantsbrite Marine Electronics, which has been appointed UK distributor for the product.
The PcFF80 system consists of a high speed interface box, a dual frequency 50khz/200kHz depth/temperature transducer and a programme CD.
Communication to the interface box is via the USB or RS-232 port.
