Emily J left Exmouth for the fishing grounds towards the end of last month carrying a sound package of fishing gear.
Dorset netmaker Lecky Lexster supplied three trawls: a 15 fathom squid 80mm mesh box trawl rigged on 6in discs, a 13 fathom rough ground trawl rigged on 8in and 12in discs, and a 15 fathom general trawl rigged on 12 fathom of 8in ground gear with two fathom chain extensions.
These single trawls will be spread by up to 130 fathoms of sweeps, including 70 fathoms of rubber legs, depending on the grounds being fished, and a set of 6ft 3in (1.9m)
