THE Shellfish Association (SAGB) announced that Dr Colin Bannister is the new chair of its crustacean committee replacing Chris Venmore, and James Wilson from Holyhead takes over the mollusc committee from Mrs Gillian Mills, secretary of Stanswood Bay Oystermen.
These two committees meet three times a year at Fishmongers’ Hall, in the City of London, and the technical and training committee has two meetings that are chaired by Dr Sue Utting of Seafish.
Dr Bannister is the former head of the Shellfish Resource Group at Lowestoft.
