TWO OF the most famous names in fishing gear have merged to form a new company. Irish firms Swan Net and Gundry's have joined forces to become Swan Net-Gundry Ltd.
Former Swan Net managing director Martin Howley is executive chairman of the new company and Michael Gallagher, formerly managing director of Gundry's, is its managing director.
The new company says the merger "will produce a more broadly based company providing a wide range of goods and services to customers at competitive prices".
