A PURSE SEINER being built by Tallie Marine (see page 16) is equipped with winches and haulers by Petec Services (PTY) Ltd. of Paarden Eiland, Cape Town.
Petec is supplying the 21 metre vessel with her three-roller net hauler, transport roller to help stack the net, seine and anchor winches, fish pump and fish de-watering system.
Kobus Beukes, project engineer of Petec, tells FNI that the threeroller hauler will be the first developed in-house by the company. This type RNH600 model has been designed so that one man can remove a roller with relative ease.
