The focus is on the implementation of a black box recording system. There are now thirteen fishing vessels using the Delmeco pulse system. So far there is a total of 84 vessels which have received permits allowing them to use the pulse system, all of which are research licences. There are about 300 active fishing vessels in the Netherlands; half of these comprise large and small trawlers. Delmeco, located at Colijnsplaat in Zeeland works closely together with experts, such as research body Imares.
