Wick based Caithness Creels Ltd has met a great demand from skippers throughout the UK for its new creel designs introduced in 2001 incorporating plastic bases, writes David Linkie.
The new range of plastic bottomed pots will be displayed on its stand A 155.
Shellfish skippers have been particularly impressed with the ease and speed that creels with plastic bases can be cleared.
The main advantage of the 3mm thick polyethylene base is that it represents a flush surface on which crabs and other shellfish cannot obtain a grip.
