THE Norwegian company Sjaastad AS has developed an on board automatic baiting system for smaller longliners.
The Smartline Combi system, which can be installed on boats down to 30 ft. (9 metres), fills a market gap because of the increasingly high cost of pre-baiting lines, the manufacturer tells FNI .
"Our system will be very easy to operate, it will occupy very little space and can be installed at a cost way below anything else available."
The Smartline Combi system has been tried out aboard the 35 ft.
