Sixth Lunar Bow far removed from the first

The new Lunar Bow illustrates the immense changes that have taken place in the design of pelagic vessels in the 38 years since the first Lunar Bow PD 118 was built at Flekkefjord in 1970 for Skipper Alex Buchan.

She was built by Sigbjorn Iversen Mek Verksted which trades today as Simek AS.

Repeat orders are said to be the sign of satisfied customers, and this sums up the relationship first established in September 1970, when Simek delivered the purse seiner Lunar Bow PD 118.
