Shetland Seafood Auctions (SSA) has made significant developments in the buying and selling of seafood over recent years, leading to its facilities becoming amongst the best in the UK, the company says.
SSA has introduced advanced landing information for white fish, an electronic auction, an onshore weighing and grading system for highvalue species, and a new online system for buying and selling salmon and other farmed seafood.
It has launched a new website, www. shetlandauction. com, which incorporates a system for buying and selling salmon from Shetland at a size and grade to suit, and before the fish has even been harvested.
