The Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) announced a collaboration with top Spanish seafood canner Jealsa Rianxeira SAU Group, saying it hopes the major player's commitment to sustainability will encourage others in the country to do the same.
"It is an encouraging sign for the future of sustainable seafood in Spain to see a group with the size and influence of Jealsa demonstrating such a strong commitment," SFP Buyer Engagement Team Deputy Director Pedro Ferreiro said. "We hope this will serve as an inspiration to other Spanish seafood companies."
