SEAWAY'S net division, Seaway Nets, made and supplied Bounty's trawl gear package, resulting in the unusual situation of one firm delivering both the vessel and its fishing gear.
One of the 180ft single rig prawn trawls is rigged on a traditional grass footrope for working clean ground, while the second similar sized trawl has 10mm chain and wire and 8in diameter discs in the middle section of the groundrope with rubber legs down the wings.
Seaway Nets also made an 85ft hopper prawn net rigged on 32ft of 12in and 14in discs for harder bottom, and supplied 2 x 200 fathoms of 12mm 6 x 7 trawl wire.
