SEA FISH Industry Authority chief executive John Rutherford has pledged to step up the Authority's service to the UK seafood industry, following a recent re-structuring.
"The seafood industry is experiencing difficult times and we have made changes so that we're best placed to operate more efficiently and to manage our resources effectively in the competitive times ahead, " he said.
The re-structuring follows the appointment of Jon Harman as development director in January, the imminent retirement of training and standards director Ken Waind at the end of next month and recruitment of a new executive director with responsibility for business services.
