Russia's Norebo Group inked a deal with Saint-Petersburg-based Severnaya Verf for the construction of six freezer factory trawlers.
The total cost of the deal is more than RUB 21 billion (€302.6 million/$355.3 million).
Sergei Sennikov, representative of Norebo Group, told IntraFish the trawlers are based on a technical design by a domestic design bureau.
“The newbuilds are designed for catching cod and haddock, as well as saithe, halibut, redfish and possibly northern shrimp in the Northern Atlantic," he said.
