Fresh from a couple of early shakedown trips into north east Scottish waters, the five-man crew of new automated scalloper Rois Mhairi OB 45 are keen to get down to business.
Taking her name from owner John MacAlister's mother Mary and his first boat Summer Rose, Rois Mhairi is expected to arrive at her homeport of Oban later this month, ready to start fishing off the west coast of Scotland.
Mr MacAlister's firm started scallop dredging from the port almost 30 years ago, but with new scallop regulations preventing access to considerable areas of traditional grounds for modern boats, Rois Mhairi is expected to follow a nomadic fishing pattern.
