"Two years ago we designed these doors and tested them in the flume tank in Hirtshals, said Hans í Lidinni, who runs the company based on the Faroese island of Suduroy with sales manager Peter Kjærbæk, both of them former trawler skippers.
“The tests were very positive, but what you see in the tank isn’t the reality of using the doors at sea.
“We knew we had something good, so we were determined to find a good skipper and a good trawler to test the first pair,” Hans í Lidinni said.
