Ormston Technology will be displaying its revolutionary new low cost Gyrosky Sagitta 3011 GPS gyrocompass manufactured by Thales Navigation (formerly Dassault) on Stand D43, writes David Linkie.
Technical director Fran West expects that the unit will attract a constant stream of enquiries. Ormston has already received heavy demand for the new unit, which costs less than half the price of conventional gyrocompasses.
Five Sagitta 3011 dual antenna units have been fitted to UK boats in recent weeks, including Lachie Murray's Ullapool based 20m vivier crabber Our Hazel and the Kinlochbervie 27.5m
