Hjörtur Erlendsson has a long history at Hampidjan and took over as the company’s managing director this summer. He played a key role in the move to Lithuania, where he has run Hampidjan Baltic since its inception, transferring all of its rope, twine and netting there and extending the factory significantly. Now back in Iceland as the group’s managing director, among the first things he had to do in his new role was to sign the papers for the purchase of Swan Net USA.
