Polar Seafood, the owner of the trawler Polar Nanoq, has released a statement after some crew members were arrested last week in connection to the disappearance of a missing Icelandic girl.

Three men were arrested onboard the vessel, two of them connected to the disappearance of Birna Brjánsdóttir and one for drug possession, reports Iceland Monitor.

Polar Seafood has since issued a statement to the press to say it will continue to offer all possible assistance to the Icelandic authorities.

The trawler Polar Nanoq returned to Hafnarfjordur harbor around 11 p.m.
