Polar Seafood’s fishing vessel Polar Nanoq is set to leave Iceland after police concluded investigations for the suspected links between two of the boat’s workers and a criminal case involving the disappearance and death of 20-year-old Birna Brjánsdóttir, reportsIceland Review.
The two suspect men remain in custody, and the company said the crew has been “partially replaced, while some of them decided to head back home instead of returning to the sea.”
Regarding the arrested men, “as far as we know, one of them is also suspected of trying to smuggle hashish,” the company said in an official statement.
