THE HULL of the new Peterhead pelagic vessel Lunar Bow PD 265 was launched recently by Norwegian builders Simek at Flekkefjord for Skipper Alex Buchan and Lunar Fishing of Peterhead, reports David Linkie.
Equipped for midwater trawling and purse seining, the 69.3m Lunar Bow is generally similar in design to Pathway PD 165, which Simek delivered to Skipper John George Buchan and Lunar Fishing five years ago this month.
Scheduled to arrive at Peterhead in mid-December, Lunar Bow is the fifth vessel of the same name to be built by Simek and the 14th pelagic vessel that the Flekkefjord company has delivered to Lunar Fishing of Peterhead since the first 26.45m
