BAADER of Germany will be showing its new automatic pelagic processing line (Baader 221) at the Seafood Processing Europe in Brussels from May 9 to 11, 2000. Also on its stand (number 2539 in Hall 11) will be a flatfish filleting machine (Baader 176).
The operator's job is to manually feed filleting machines is soon to be a thing of the past, according to Baader. For two years it has been testing an automatic pelagic fish processing system where fish are automatically driven from the storage bin via a distribution system to the various lines.
