It was 'love at first sight' for Kent Skipper Steve Barnes from Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey when he met a SW 'lady of a certain age' at work on the Thames estuary over the last couple of years.
Her shape and 'the way she moves' made such an impression on him that it was Skipper Barnes' desire to posses her one day. The under 15m wooden hulled trawler had carried the name Our Sarah Jayne since she was built by J Hinks & Sons in Appledore, Devon in 1973.
