Ocean Crest sister ship completes Broch duo Ocean Star FR 894 is the latest sub15m trawler to enter service at Fraserburgh, joining her four months old sister ship Ocean Crest FR 317.
Built for Brian Tait and the TWE Fishing Company Ltd by Miller (Methil) Ltd, Ocean Star has started her career twin rig trawling on the east coast prawn grounds under the command of Michael Clark, who previously skippered Fisher Rose, which was decommissioned last year.
For a number of reasons, including the pace of vessel and equipment development, identical repeat builds are fairly uncommon in the UK fleet.
