The New Zealand government will commit NZD 30.5 million (€19.1 million/$21.5 million) over the next four years to the upgrade and improvement of the fisheries management system, it announced in its budget for 2017.

The funds will be used to implement cameras, monitoring, and electronic reporting system on all commercial vessels.
