A CORNISH pilchard fisherman - known locally as 'Nutty Noah' - held a pilchard party at the Cadgwith Cove Inn last weekend to promote pilchards and tell the public how nutritious the fish is, writes PHIL LOCKLEY.
The event attracted over 120 people to taste Skipper Nutty Noah's secret recipe, which he used in the preparation of over 20kg of pilchards caught in Cornish waters this season.
The fish was supplied through Interfish Ltd and Nutty Noah asked everyone to answer a short list of questions on an A4 sheet to reveal whether they thought pilchards tasted "'ansome, not bad or 'orrible".
