Rúni Petersen of JT Electric commented that the Trawl Camera was developed as a recording device that can be placed on the fishing gear and the recording recovered from the camera once the gear is back on the deck so the skipper can analyse the last tow.
The next step is to add a new level of functionality that users have been asking for to make a live data feed possible, something that JT Electric’s customers have been asking for, he said, adding that the Trawl Camera has been in use since 2005, and they have been working on developing the live feed since 2010.
