THE ICELANDIC stern trawler Pall Palsson (IS-102) from Isafjordur has been fitted with a new autotrawl system made by Naust Marine to control her monobloc winch.
The ATW catch control system has replaced an older system from the same company installed when the vessel was rebuilt in Poland in 1988.
One of the main improvements made to the autotrawl system since then is that the control over the towing winch is now much more gentle when operating in automatic mode.
Also, it is possible to control the system either by touch screen or the control panel.
