MUSTANG Engineering, a noted steel pot making firm based in Bovey Tracey, south Devon, now makes the top-quality plastic Portzic Pots' whelk pots.
Rob Stuckey, boss at Mustang Engineering, recently clinched a deal with Phil Allwood, designer and maker of Portzic whelk pots, to take over his business.
Phil Allwood told Fishing News: "Basically I have been building Portzic whelk pots for the last 11 years, supplying finished and partly finished pots.
Four years ago, I met a lady from Sweden and wanted to move my other business interests to that country.
