A FACTORY trawler is due to be delivered at the end of this year to Vigo owner Farpespan by the Construcciones Navales Nodosa shipyard at Marin.
She is Rio Caxil, a 50.50 metre ship with a 10 metre beam intended to replace the company's older trawler Ancoradouro - and she will also be fitted with much of Ancoradouro's equipment.
This new trawler was ordered for fishing the NAFO zone for Greenland halibut, although savage quota cuts lasting well into the future have recently been announced by NAFO.
